We truly couldn't believe it when this 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie card came back from PSA with a grade of 4.5 as we fully expected it to be graded a 9. The accurate centering, superior surfaces, lack of chipping around the keen perimeter and solid MINT quality corners made it virtually a given that it would be grade MINT. It took a while to find but it seems that there's a small line just to the left of the name "Michael" on the blue nameplate that looks either slightly raised or a scratch ... we're not even sure what it is. You have to hold the card at an angle to see it and even using a 16x magnification loupe you can't even tell there's anything there. It's totally insignificant to the aesthetics of the card, which we feel is still deserving of at least a NM grade if not higher. Suffice it to say, it is hands down the absolute best example that exists at this grade level as it stands.
