By the time this E120 American Caramel card of Babe Ruth rolled out, he was far and above every other player in the league. Truth be told, Ruth accomplished more in his two seasons in New York to that point than most players would in an entire career. Even third baseman and Hall of Famer Frank Baker had to feel a little uneasy with the nickname "Home Run" while Ruth was slamming 54 and 59 round-trippers respectively in 1920 and 1921, gearing up for his legendary 60-homer performance in 1927. The featured card is graded PSA 3.5 but presents even better, well-centered with a sharp central image of The Babe that is tempered by some light wrinkles in the lower right quadrant. The reverse is impressively bright, proudly listing the New York Americans "Yankees" starting lineup. While the grade is technically accurate, you just can't find many vintage Babe Ruth cards graded VG+ with this type of visual appeal.
