Hank Aaron was good for a lot more than the long ball, and on May 17th, 1970 "The Hammer" earned his 3,000th career hit, becoming the first player in major league history to record 3,000 hits and 500 home runs. Willie Mays would give Aaron company in the newly opened club two months after, followed by Murray, Palmeiro, Pujols and A-Rod later on.
