One of the more obscure post card issues that collectors actively search for, Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson is informally referred to as "Our Matty" on this black and white piece from Pastime Novelty. The full-figure windup pose is an attractive bonus for most vintage collectors with the date (October 8, 1913) placing the action as Game 2 of the 1913 World Series which the Giants took 3-0 in 10 innings. Graded SGC 60 EX 5, the card is very well-centered and the perimeter is technically in line with the grade but looks sharper to the naked eye.
