With Topps and their "giant-sized cards" entering the baseball card market in 1952, Bowman decided to enlarge their diminutive pasteboards with the 1953 set, producing both a color and a black & white collection. The result was a wildly popular issue, unencumbered by nameplates or facsimile signatures; just crisp, clean photography. Offered here is a near complete Bowman Color set (almost 75% of the series) along with a handful of duplicates and another 10 cards from the black & white series. Key cards are #1 D.
