Atlanta Braves fans certainly weren't happy with the 3-2 loss but they got to see history in the making on July 31, 1979 when Pete Rose extending his amazing hitting streak to 44 games with a single to lead off the 6th inning. Rose's streak was broken the next day in a Braves 16-4 victory. PSA authenticated.
