Decades before ascending to the Presidency following the assassination of JFK, Lyndon Baines Johnson was Congressman from Texas' 10th District. LBJ had this letter drafted on October 2nd, 1937, his first year in the Capitol, trying to help one of his constituents gain employment. Several secretarial markings and comments have been added in pencil, with a bold and spectacular signature of Johnson.
