This fairly uncommon copy of Spalding's The Art of Batting and Base Running, published in 1886, is filled with knowledge and historical context. There is noteworthy discoloration on the covers and outside pages of the book, along with some cracking. There are more than eighty pages about hitting mechanics, batting postures, running the baseline properly, and base running regulations inside the pages. An excellent addition to any collector's set, this booklet is quite engaging and packed with information.
