Called "the greatest shortstop of them all" by Hall of Famer Kid Nichols, Herman Long sure put up some impressive numbers for his era including over 2,100 hits and 537 stolen bases while routinely ranked in the top three in fielding percentage. Another impressive number is the grade on this fantastic N300 Mayo's Cut Plug card, an SGC 50 VG/EX 4 specimen that is in the top third of all graded SGC submissions. Well centered with the usual wear on the black edges that are commensurate for the grade. A fine relic for the 19th Century.
