Having survived as if forgotten by time, this T206 example of Hall of Famer Johnny Evers is presented virtually identical to how it must've looked when it came out of the tobacco pack well over 100 years ago. In addition to the like-new quality of the colorful image, a powerful convergence of bold, clean colors, and the resolute NM/MT endpoints that have somehow remained unadulterated, the centering of the card is very near perfection. The reverse is equally impressive, a clean white canvas that is free from the usual staining and other discoloration and presents a well-placed and problem-free blue Piedmont ad back. It will probably surprise no one that this example is one of only 7 graded PSA 8 with none graded higher, regardless of back ad, and one of only 3 with none higher that carries the Piedmont 350/25 reverse. This is an amazing example, and we suspect that top-end PSA Set Registry competitors will be making an aggressive run at it!
