One of the earliest true superstars of the game, Napoleon Lajoie in 1914 became the third player in history to record 3,000 hits, joining Cap Anson and Honus Wagner. Widely regarded as the best second baseman of all time, he was among the second group of players elected to the Hall of Fame in 1937. He is presented here on a throwing pose variation from the iconic T206 issue, graded VG+ 3.5 by PSA. An extremely minor and barely perceptible wrinkle extending from his left ear out to the border keeps the technical assessment where it is, but the strong colors and expert centering make for outstanding visual appeal.
