Virtually every advanced collector knows the story of Joe Jackson, who ranks #3 all-time with a .356 batting average but had his career cut short when he was banned from baseball, named as one of the co-conspirators in the infamous "Black Sox" scandal. To this day, there are still differing opinions as to whether "Shoeless Joe" took part in the fix or was a victim of circumstance, but one thing is clear; there are far too few issues of his baseball card for the public to be satisfied. The featured 1909-13 M101-2 Sporting News Supplement of Jackson is an amazing specimen as it's not one of his "six-figure in low condition" issues that only offers an artist rendering but rather an oversized piece with a wonderful, real-time image of the baseball great. This one is graded PSA 1 due to some missing paper in the bottom right corner, but the image quality is fantastic.
