Jack Johnson, known as the Galveston Giant, was pivotal in the integration of professional boxing and, in 1908, became the first African-American heavyweight champion. Johnson is featured here on an attractive example from the 1911 T9 Turkey Red boxing release, an oversized cabinet issue more closely resembling a small work of art than a traditional trading card. Graded VG 3 by PSA, this one shows the expected corner wear but retains vivid, lifelike colors.
