Beginning in October 1913, the National League Champion New York Giants and Chicago White Sox embarked on an tour of exhibition games that started across the USA before extending throughout Asia and Europe, concluding in March of 1914. The featured panoramic photograph is a frozen moment from that whirlwind tour and is labeled, "N. Y. GIANTS vs CHICAGO WHITE SOX Oxnard Cal. Nov. 11 1913, ON ROUND - WORLD - TOUR" on the far right of the photo. The names of each participant has been added below their photo, clearly identifying immortal Hall of Famers Frank Chance, Sam Crawford, Red Faber, Bill Klem, Christy Mathewson, John McGraw, Ray Schalk and Tris Speaker as well as future Black Sox conspirator Buck Weaver, the infamous Hal Chase and auto racing pioneer Barney Oldfield. In spectacular, crease-free condition, measuring approximately 40" x 9 1/2" framed.
