You might think it strange to see an original Type I photo of Walter Johnson, one of the greatest pitchers of all-time, taking his cuts at the plate. But "The Big Train" knew how to swing the lumber, posting a career .235 batting average with 24 home runs and 255 RBI. In fact, when this photo was taken in 1925, 37-year old Johnson batted .433 for the season in 97 at bats. This 7" x 9.5" snapshot has the newspaper stamping and teletype caption on the reverse. PSA/DNA authenticated.
