One of the more elusive examples dedicated to "The Iron Horse", the featured treasure hails from the 1933 Delong series and gives an appearance that exceeds the PSA 5 grade. While the Boston, Massachusetts based company did not have the resources to successfully challenge Goudey in the bubble gum market, their 24-card baseball set has become one of the most coveted pre-war collections ever produced. Over 60% of the set, 15 of the 24 cards to be exact, features a Hall of Famer, with Gehrig serving as the cornerstone of the series. Very accurately centered for the issue with endpoints that appear above grade and overall pigmentation that has stood the test of time. The reverse shows some mild age discoloration that is expected of a card surpassing 90 years of age. Very few, if any, '33 Delong Gehrigs can match the featured card at this grade level.
