Another in the seemingly endless parade of Hall of Famers that populate the legendary 1933 Goudey series, Pie Traynor's card #22 shows just one example graded higher than this PSA 8 beauty. Generally considered to be the best hitting third baseman of the pre-war era, Traynor was also widely recognized for his fielding prowess, second to only Brooks Robinson as a hot corner glove man. This specimen exhibits centering which shades to the right with slight toning on the reverse, but the sharpness of the central image and NM/MT+ corners raise the overall level to elite status.
