A curious addition to the Sport Kings lineup, Jim Thorpe is considered by many to be the single greatest all-around athlete in American history. While excelling in baseball and basketball, Jim Thorpe's most famous exploits were on the track in the 1912 Olympics after dominating college football in 1911 and 1912. This example is particularly bright and sharper than expected for the grade around the perimeter, offsetting the mild centering shift that is barely noticeable to the eye given the intensity of the pigmentation. The reverse is equally clean and impressive, boasting a like-new appearance more in-line with NM/MT specimens. A wonderful piece of history in strong NM condition.
