If you've always wanted a mid-grade 1934 Goudey Lou Gehrig #37 and have been waiting for just the right one to come along, well, it's come along! Though the technical grade granted by PSA might be technically accurate at 5 EX (and we think it's a bid undergraded), you can't help but notice the superior quality of the overwhelming yellow color and registration of the central image, which is free from any significant stray print or other noticeable blemishes. The astute centering, taking into consideration how narrow the borders are, and the seemingly above-grade endpoints, also points toward a higher assessment. PWCC seems to concur, giving the card its "exceptional" label as the landing in the top 15% of all assessed examples of this card in a PSA 5 grade. And they have it right; this is a truly exceptional specimen that presents in excess of the grade.
