While it might have been a cost-cutting move to change the format to four players per card, it seems a bit sacrilegious to have the legendary Babe Ruth share the surface with three other players, but here we are nonetheless, and there he is, alongside fellow Hall of Famer Rabbit Maranville as well as Marty McManus and Ed Brant, all members of the Boston Braves. The image of the Bambino on this SGC 5 EX piece is from the earlier Goudey issues when he was a Yankee. the centering is shifted toward the right due to the impossibly thin borders, and color retention is admirable. This issue remains rather affordable, but don't be surprised if popularity and demand surge in the not-too-distant future.
