Though he was entering his final season as a player at the age of 41, the legend of Rogers Hornsby had already transitioned from the diamond to the dugout several years earlier, with "Rajah" getting only 258 at bats from 1932-1937. But he'd already done his damage and racked up a legendary career by the time this 1937 O-Pee-Chee card was released, one of only 2 graded PSA 8 with none graded higher. A spectacular image of Hornsby, surrounded by a stadium of adoring fans, is accentuated by strong NM/MT corners and edges. A fantastic card to add to any O-Pee-Chee or HOF collection.
