Every Jackie Robinson card is a coveted piece for the advanced collector, but the artistry of the 1950 Bowman issue is arguably the best representation of the legendary baseball pioneer. Jackie was the reigning National League batting and stolen base champion the prior year, and his selection as National League MVP was another breakthrough in baseball's longstanding color barrier. The offered 1950 Bowman low-numbered card is near perfectly centered with sharp NM/MT or better corners as well as intense focus and registration, far sharper than is customary for the issue. An important card of the reigning National League Most Valuable Player and one of the finer examples we've seen in strong NM/MT condition.
