The first true hobby icon of the post-war era in the sport of hockey, here's the legendary Gordie Howe's rookie debut from the inaugural Parkhurst series of 1951. Famous for his scoring prowess, physical strength, and career longevity, he is the only player to have played in the NHL in 5 (1940s through 1980s) different decades. A four-time Stanley Cup champion with the Red Wings, he won 6 Hart Trophies as the league's MVP and 6 Art Ross Trophies as the leading scorer. Given the tremendous eye-appeal and sharpness around the perimeter, the grade seems very harsh, making it potentially a tremendous value for the winning bidder.
