Although the 1951 Bowman rookie cards of Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays are among the most important post-war examples ever produced, it's surprising to know that card #165 Ted Williams like the PSA 8 example featured here has been submitted to PSA with more frequency than either of the other two. The NM/MT assessment is well-earned here as near-perfect centering is teamed with NM/MT bottom and NM/MM+ top corners and surfaces free of any major blemishes. A very sharp card of "The Splendid Splinter."
