The 1951 Bowman introduction of "The Commerce Comet" will likely never reach the hype afforded the 1952 Topps card, but it is his true rookie card and a must-have for any advanced collector nonetheless. The featured card has been graded PSA 6 EX/MT (MC). While the centering is shifted toward the top horizontal edge, necessitating the qualifier, the robust image of Mantle, exhibiting far better registration than most at this level, is the centerpiece of the card. The corners and edges have retained a very respectable sharpness that appears to exceed the assessed grade and the reverse is properly printed with no significant liabilities.
