Until about 2006, the "black star" overprint on the reverse of the 1952 Tops #307 Frank Campos card was virtually unknown and now has been formally recognized and listed by The Standard Catalog. Upon discovery, 1952 Topps collectors and set builders were sent scurrying to their collections, hoping to find that magical black star like children unwrapping a Wonka bar in search of the golden ticket. Most of those kids came away with just a handful of chocolate, and '52 Topps Campos owners didn't seem to fare any better. But for collectors pushing for supremacy on the 1952 Topps Master set, here's the game changer you've been looking for.
