Universally considered the most enticing assemblage of the post-war era, the 1952 Topps set is only attempted in high-grade by the very elite collector that has plenty of patience to match their extensive bankroll. Even a collection in mid-grade launches the owner into an exclusive category of advanced collector whose set could vary in value by tens of thousands of dollars. With more specimens available at this level, a savvy collector can judiciously choose specimens based upon personal preferences, occasionally scoring a nice windfall through PSA review. The offered pasteboard of Andy Pafko has been graded PSA 6 and possesses many above-grade characteristics, specifically the strong, sharp perimeter and spotless reverse. A mild centering preference and some stray surface print have tempered the overall grade, but the presentation of this tough mid-grade card is excellent for the assessment. One of the nicest PSA 6's around and a smart buy considering even a half-grade higher would make a significant dent in the budget!
