While we can't attest to it, it just seems like the iconic 1954 Topps rookie card of Hall of Famer Hank Aaron is a piece that gets a particularly harsh evaluation at PSA. Maybe the three-sided border leaves into question what is considered accurate centering, or perhaps it's the rough cut that comes on an unusually large number of examples. Perhaps the boldness of the orange backdrop is just so overwhelming to the observer that we become smitten with the appearance over the technical grade. With that said, here we go again! This PSA 7 example of "The Hammer's" RC offers near-perfect centering, a rugged rough cut, very keep endpoints, and a glowing backdrop that rivals many graded higher. The reverse is particularly pleasing and further spotlights the rough cut along the jagged green edges.A wonderful card for any elite collection and a fine value for the grade.
