With each passing year, the 1955 Topps Sandy Koufax rookie card grows a greater following. Koufax's final six seasons of a career shortened by injury were nothing short of miraculous; a combined 129-47 record with a 2.19 ERA, 35 shutouts, five consecutive NL ERA titles, a record 382 strikeouts in 1965 (one of three seasons topping the 300K mark), three NL Cy Young Awards, an NL MVP award, and yeah, four no-hitters with one perfect game. The featured card manages to avoid the common pitfalls of askew centering and heavy invasive print in the yellow backdrop to deliver a smooth and well-printed example of the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers legend. The reverse presents well with the usual slight toning, while the edges and endpoints are firmly entrenched at the NM/MT level. A wonderful PSA 8 specimen, and if you don't already have one in your advanced collection, you shouldn't be waiting any longer!
