It took some looking around but after a while, we figured out why this iconic 1955 Topps rookie card of Roberto Clemente wasn't graded two or even three points higher. A slight crease, or more like a break in the paper on the horizontal left side, accounts for the lower grade, though you really have to hold the card at an angle so see a faint sign of it. The centering is solid, not just for the grade but just about any grade, while the corners are EX to EX+ overall. From an eye-appeal standard, this beauty can be had for cards that cost at least twice as much.
