Say what you will about the Michael Jordan rookie card and its significance in the hobby, but vintage collectors might give you a strong debate that the premiere card from the hardwood is the elusive 1957 Topps rookie card of Hall of Famer Bill Russell. Winner of 11 championships in his 13-year career, Russell is usually pictured way off-center or with poor image quality, two features that are absent here. This one is almost perfectly framed, an extreme rarity for the issue, with a fine central image that leads to grade-appropriate endpoints. For the grade of SGC 4, you would be hard-pressed to find a better opportunity than this one presents.
