Although it's unknown as to whether Pete Rose will ever see his enshrinement in Cooperstown, there is little doubt that he was one of the fiercest competitors and greatest players the game has ever known and his body of work is unquestionably Hall of Fame worthy. His 4,256 lifetime hits remains at the top of the list with no one presently within reasonable striking distance. His rookie appearance in the world of cardboard collectibles reflects that greatness, with high-grade examples never ceasing to be popular among enthusiasts. The offered example bears the grade of NM/MT 8 as assigned by PSA, exhibiting vivid colors that are shielded by a strong layer of shimmering gloss. The extreme upper left corner, susceptible to wear due to the full-bleed colored border, shows a light touch but the rest of the blue border is virtually flawless. A very strong NM/MT example to anchor an advanced vintage collection.
