There are many important rookie cards in the 1965 Topps baseball release, not the least of which is Hall of Famer Steve Carlton. The young lefty ace is depicted in spectacular fashion here, on a true blazer that's graded NM/MT+ 8.5 by SGC. The horizontal image is framed by pristine white borders that show no readily visible stray print marks, and corners are as strong as can possibly be for the opined grade. A true gem that belongs in any advanced rookie card collection.
