It's not often that a Mickey Mantle card plays second fiddle to anyone in any baseball card set. Oh, but "Tom Terrific" is not just anyone! Tom Seaver hurled his way to 182 wins over his first 10 seasons and 311 over his career while guiding the "Miracle Mets" to a World Series championship. Though the 1967 Topps set as a whole is plagued with many different condition issues such as print defects and centering problems, the offered specimen manages to sidestep those issues and deliver a near perfect example of Tom Seaver's coveted rookie card. Outstanding centering, four razor sharp corners and a clean overall image exhibit quality that is unbeatable. Of the over 2,800 graded by PSA, only 3 have graded higher. This is a spectacular high grade example of a true post-war classic.
