One of six teams added during NHL expansion in 1967-1968, the California Seals were renamed the Oakland Seals mid-way through the inaugural season and kept that name until 1970, when it was changed again to the California Golden Seals. Presented is a very rare road-white dureen tie-down gamer, worn by left-winger Gary Jarrett during the 1968-69 NHL season. The '68-'69 season was Jarrett's best in the NHL, tallying 22 goals and 23 assists while finishing 4th on the team in total points. This Wilson manufactured sweater has a frayed size 46 label in the collar and displays excellent game use, with various team repairs, stains, and stick marks on the front and sleeves. With just three seasons as the Oakland Seals, this rare garment is a real treasure that marks the beginning of the post-expansion era, when the NHL doubled in size from 6 to 12 teams. LOA from Mile High Card Company.
