Basketball's version of "The Giants win the pennant!" came with the Boston Celtics clinging to a one point lead with seconds left in the 7th and final game of the 1965 Eastern Conference championship. The Philadelphia 76ers had possession with a chance to seal the victory. But it was not to be as announcer Johnny Most uttered those famous words, "... Havlicek stole the ball! It's all over...It's all over! Johnny Havlicek is being mobbed by the fans! It's all over! Johnny Havlicek stole the ball!" Ranked as one of the top 50 NBA players of all-time, "Hondo" revolutionized the role of the "sixth man" in his march toward 8 NBA titles. A 13-time all-star, Havlicek closed his career with over 26,000 points, 6,000 assists, and 8,000 rebounds. Presented is a game-used jersey worn by Hall of Famer John Havlicek and features the customary Sand-Knit Boston Celtics exclusivity and size 44 labels on the front left tail. Good game use is evident with moderate puckering on all identifiers and light staining on the front and back. Havlicek's black marker signature appears on the reverse. A fantastic gamer from one of the most versatile players in NBA history! LOA from Mile High Card Company.
