There are so many obstacles to achieving a MINT grade in the bi-colored 1971 Topps football set, the most obvious being chipping and wear at the endpoints but also that the cards from the series are difficult to find centered. The featured piece sidesteps both of those pitfalls and comes to you in pristine condition, and it just so happens to be the rookie card of NFL legend "Mean" Joe Greene. Exceptionally well centered with outstanding color as well as deep bold registration, the featured card appears as if it was retrieved from a vending box and went directly into a card saver and then on to SGC, and for all we know, that might be exactly what happened. A true condition rarity offered at the penultimate grade level!
