It's hard to imagine but to this day, over 40 years after it was released, there are still a good number of subjects in the 1977 Topps series that have yet to achieve GEM MINT status. So the winner of this sealed wax box has to contemplate whether to put it away for the future or go for that "one-hit wonder" that might be lurking within. With a grade of GAI 8.5, you have to think that a lot of cards within the wax packs are worthy of PSA grading. The competition for 1977 Topps sets on the PSA Set Registry is fierce, and GEM MINT cards would certainly fetch a premium or help a set-builder move up in the rankings. Seems tempting!
