Sure, we could go on and on touting the amazing array of superstars that appear in the 1979-80 Topps hockey collection, names like Howe, Bossy, Trottier, and Dryden among others. We can also sing the praises of an unopened vending box, no doubt chock full of many MINT and GEM MINT quality cards, especially one like the featured box that originates from The Fritsch Vault and is wrapped and authenticated by BBCE; about as rock-solid verification as there is. But let's face it; it's the prospect of landing one (or two, or maybe even three or more) Wayne Gretzky rookie cards that change the population of the top grading levels that provides the most appeal. Based upon previous vending boxes that have been explored over the years, this 500-count box should yield at least one Wayne Gretzky RC, probably more, though the only confirmation available is to roll the dice and find out. If a new MINT or GEM MINT specimen of "The Great One" is going to hit the PSA pop report, it's likely to come out of a preserved vending box like this, and perhaps the next PSA 10 Gretzky rookie card is within the cardboard confines of this one. The box has been shrink-wrapped by BBCE with a notation that it originated from Larry Fritsch Cards.
