An unlikely star in Washington, quarterback Mark Rypien posted a record of 45-27 as a starter with the Redskins. Presented is Rypien's 1990 game-used helmet, made by Riddell with VSR-1 interior padding.The appropriate Rypien style face mask is supported by a markered "11" which appears above the left ear hole in a font that resembles other exemplars from the era. The flag on the back confirms use during the 1990 season, though the mask clips were replaced with clips that are dated "92."Excellent game use is evident.
