This is an unbelievable jersey worn by Hall of Fame defenseman Ray Bourque. Bourque currently holds the record of most goals, assists and, of course, points of any blue liner in the history of the sport, and played for the Boston Bruins for 21 seasons. He then took his skills (and experience) to Colorado, where he helped lead the Avalanche to the Stanley Cup championship in 2001. This 1990 black mesh jersey was worn by Bourque during the Bruins' Stanley Cup finals and sports the patch on the right breast accompanying the captain's "C" on the left breast. The jersey shows great game use, with various stick and burn marks on the front as well as a small, unrepaired hole. The left sleeve has a red stain on the top yellow stripe, likely a blood stain. One reason why hockey jerseys are the best of all four sports is they usually have that "something extra", meaning the fight strap. The jersey has a Velcro Button style fight strap. Simply a tremendous jersey from one of hockey's all-time greats at a significant time in Bruins history! LOA from Richard Russek, Andy Imperato/Grey Flannel, Mile High Card Company.
