A legacy that began as far back as his famous college rivalry with fellow legend Magic Johnson, Indiana State and Boston Celtics forward Larry Bird made his mark as one of the NBA's all-time greatest players. Selected by the Celtics with the #6 pick of the 1978 NBA Draft, Bird would earn Rookie of the Year honors with a 21.3 scoring average and over 10 rebounds per game. Known for his ability to excel at every facet of the game, Bird averaged over 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists per game during his 13 NBA seasons. Even with his career shortened by back injuries, Bird still holds his place among the greatest in almost every offensive category and led the Celtics to three NBA championships. Presented is a Boston Celtics jersey, worn by "The Hick from French Lick" during the 1991-1992 season, his last in the NBA. This famous jersey has Champion size 44 and NBA exclusivity "Year 1991 Body Length +3" labels on the front left tail, with all numbers and letters attached with white tackle twill. Bird's signature appears in blue marker on the front. LOA from Dave Miedema, James Spence/JSA, and Mile High Card Company.
