Mile High Card Company has had the honor of selling several top-ranked 1991 Topps Desert Shield Sets, and we're at it again with this amazing assemblage, ranked #4 on the PSA Set Registry with a set rating of 10.738 with 100 cards graded PSA 9 and all others graded PSA 10 GEM MINT. The most highly coveted set in the modern era, both for its scarcity and historical significance, the set was created by Topps specifically for members of the military, mirroring the standard 1991 set but adding a gold-embossed palm tree logo with the words "Operation Desert Shield" to the cards and offered exclusively to military personnel stationed in the middle east. It is estimated that less than 6,800 of each card was produced and the collection was never offered as a complete set. Due to the limited production and a distribution system that scattered these cards all over the region, attempting to assemble a complete 792-card set has proven to be a daunting task.
