It's always interesting to see the prices realized on premium items like this 1996-97 Topps Basketball Series 2 retail case, knowing that most of us walked into shops daily and could have made a fortune buying up everything in sight at the time. Then again, we didn't know that Kobe Bryant would become a legend, or that Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, and Ray Allen would also become household names. This case consists of four 36-count boxes, giving ample opportunity to score something special. In addition to the mainstream set, there exists the opportunity to land NBA Topps Stars Finest/Finest Refractor Reprints, Mystery Finest/Finest Refractors, and of course, the aforementioned rookie cards in MINT and GEM MINT condition, all of which make for an interesting hunt, if you're inclined to go searching.
