Even at the age of 34, Michael Jordan was still proving to be the king of the hardcourt, capturing his 10th scoring title and winning yet another NBA championship with the Chicago Bulls in 1997. As a result, virtually every basketball card manufacturer that included subsets and specialty cards in their product during his career was literally obliged to include an example of Michael Jordan, but one of the most popular comes from the oval-shaped Skybox E-X2001 Jambalaya collection. Presented here is a PSA 8 NM/MT example, and to be quite honest, we really couldn't tell you exactly what prevents a higher grade as the color is exquisite and there appears to be no issue around the jet black circumference. The image of Jordan is sublime, with his bright red jersey taking center stage as the tongue-wagging GOAT makes his move to the hoop. The purple reverse is also free of any blemishes. With the last PSA 9 MINT specimen fetching $78,000 and rising exponentially with each new offering, this is a bargain by comparison and might just draw a more generous grader upon review.
