Some Hall of Fame football players go an entire career without ever winning a title, while lesser contributors just happen to be in the right place at the right time. Defensive lineman Marvin Washington was a role player for the Broncos in his only season in Denver in 1998, playing in every game and recording two sacks and 14 solo tackles. And while Washington won't be joining other Broncos greats in the Ring of Fame, he walked away with a ring of his own as the team went on to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 34-19 in Super Bowl XXXIII. John Elway, in the final contest of his Hall of Fame career, was the game's MVP, tossing a TD pass, running for another, and amassing 336 passing yards. Marvin Washington recorded one tackle. Offered is the World Championship ring presented to Marvin Washington for his efforts in helping secure the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the "Mile High City." Washington's 14K-gold ring features a diamond-studded pair of Broncos stallions with additional stones on all four borders and both shanks. "Washington 95" appears on one shank with a crown that is topped with six more diamonds with "Denver Broncos" on the other shank, adding two larger, football-shaped (marquis cut) diamonds and a "back 2 back" engraving. Broncos owner Pat Bowlen clearly spared no expense in giving John Elway and the rest of squad something special to remember the victory. "Jostens 14K" is engraved on the inside of the ring, which is in MINT condition with no scratches of any kind and weighs a hefty 70 grams. A glorious piece that marks the triumphant result of a truly extraordinary team!
