One of the rarest of all rookie cards devoted to future Hall of Famer Tom Brady, the featured 2000 Bowman card is a Rookie of the Year promotion issue that features the gold foil stamp. Only 250 were made and served as a redemption card for an exclusive rookie card set if the player featured on the card front won the Rookie of the Year Award that season. Since Brady was a lightly regarded rookie unlikely to even see action much less win the award, most of the cards were discarded. Even in today's frenzy of acquiring rookie cards, there probably wouldn't have been much fanfare for Brady's debut cards. And as a 6th-round pick languishing behind Drew Bledsoe on the depth chart, not many people considered Tom Brady's rookie cards to be "must-haves" when they were first released. Showing little more than some minor chipping along the colored edges, this well-centered scarcity seems stronger than the PSA 6 grade would suggest. If you're a Tom Brady collector and haven't secured one of these yet, here's your opportunity.
