The 2001 St. Louis Rams were a juggernaut on offense, posting a record of 14-2 behind Kurt Warner's 4,830 passing yards and 36 TD passes, and Marshall Faulk's 1,382 rushing yards and 12 TDs. Falling to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVI, the Rams earned that spot by squeaking out a 29-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Wide receiver Damon Griffin was a member of the Rams, joining the team for the 2001 season after two campaigns with the Cincinnati Bengals, but was placed on injured reserve and never took the field for the Rams. But as a member of the team, Griffin was presented with the 2001 NFC Championship piece featured here, a Jostens 14K and diamond ring. Raised text around the center reads, "St. Louis Rams, NFC Champions." The left shank has "GRIFFIN" and "89" surrounding the team logo with the year, score of the game, and logos of the NFC and Super Bowl XXXVI. Stamped "Josten's 14K" on the inside, the ring weighs approximately 40 grams. The original wooden display case is included. A marvelous championship ring from "The Greatest Show on Turf." Size 10 1/4.
