Released two seasons before he made his major league debut, this 2009 Bowman Chrome Draft Picks & Prospects Auto Refractor was likely not on the radar of many. As a lower first-round draft pick (#25), Trout wasn't as highly promoted as top draft picks like Stephen Strasburg and Zach Wheeler, but his amazing achievements and three American League MVP awards have him often compared to Yankees legend Mickey Mantle. Only 500 examples of the Refractor variation were produced (this one is numbered (#70/500) and this card comes back from the PSA grading headquarters with a perfect 10 GEM MINT grade, sporting a flawless blue marker signature. It seems appropriate that this card was printed during the centennial anniversary of the T206 Honus Wagner card as it may be the card that holds the pinnacle status of this century!
