"Twiggy" (A. K. A. Leslie Lawson) was a model and British cultural icon famous for her thin build and androgynous look, representative of 1960s London. Topps toyed with the idea of producing a card collection dedicated to the runway superstar, but the collection either failed a marketing test or was scuttled just prior to production, making individual examples very rare and unopened test packs like the one offered here virtually impossible. The featured pack is a group of three cards in a simple plastic bag, sealed by the prototype label that bears her portrait. There is no mention of Topps on the product, and a notation "5/23/67 NYC" is likely the date and place it was first acquired. A newly discovered piece will excite collectors of unopened non-sport material.
